Stone Maintenance
Plans

Scheduled professional care that keeps your natural stone surfaces in peak condition — and prevents the need for major restoration down the road.

The Cost of
Neglect

Stone surfaces that are regularly maintained never reach the point of needing major restoration. The sealer that protects your stone from staining has a lifespan. When it fails and is not replaced, liquids penetrate — and what could have been a simple re-seal becomes a full cleaning and restoration job. Regular maintenance is not a luxury — it is the most cost-effective way to own natural stone.

1

Sealer Has a Lifespan

Penetrating sealers do not last forever. High-use surfaces like kitchen countertops and shower stone can lose sealer effectiveness within 1 to 3 years. Once the sealer fails, the stone is vulnerable to staining and mineral penetration that requires professional cleaning to address — rather than simple re-sealing.

2

Small Problems Become Large Ones

Mineral buildup in a shower that is addressed annually takes an hour to clean. Left for three years, the same buildup may require multiple treatments and honing. Catching problems early — during a scheduled maintenance visit — keeps the work simple and the cost minimal.

3

Protect Your Investment

Natural stone is a significant investment in your home. A maintenance plan is the most direct way to protect that investment — extending the life of the stone, maintaining its appearance, and preserving its value over time.

4

Priority Scheduling

Maintenance plan clients receive priority scheduling. When a problem arises — a sudden stain, an unexpected chip, a sealer that has failed early — plan clients go to the front of the line.

What We Do

What Every Visit
Includes

Surface Inspection
We assess every stone surface in the home — checking sealer condition, looking for early signs of etching or staining, evaluating grout and silicone, and identifying anything that should be addressed before it becomes a larger problem. You receive a written report after every visit.
Professional Deep Cleaning
We clean all stone surfaces with pH-neutral, stone-safe chemistry — removing contaminants, mineral deposits, soap film, and biological growth that routine cleaning misses. This restores the stone's natural clarity and prepares the surface for re-sealing.
Re-Sealing
We apply a professional-grade penetrating sealer appropriate for each stone type — protecting against staining and liquid absorption. Regular re-sealing on a scheduled basis is the most important thing you can do to protect natural stone long-term.
Questions

Frequently Asked

For most residential homeowners with natural stone countertops and a stone shower, the Essential plan provides excellent protection at one visit per year. The Premium plan is ideal for homes with extensive stone — multiple bathrooms, stone floors, fireplaces — or for homeowners who want the peace of mind of twice-annual professional care. We discuss your home and recommend the right plan during your first assessment.
All natural stone surfaces in your home — countertops, shower walls and floors, stone floors, fireplace surrounds, and any other natural stone. We assess and care for every surface during each visit. The scope is agreed upon when you start the plan.
Most residential maintenance visits take between 3 and 6 hours depending on the number of surfaces and their condition. Premium plan visits may take slightly longer if honing or minor repair work is included. We schedule accordingly and give you an accurate time estimate when booking.
Yes — and we recommend it. We often begin with a full restoration visit to bring all stone up to a clean, sealed baseline, and then start the maintenance plan from that point. This gives you the best starting condition and makes every subsequent maintenance visit more effective.
We believe in earning your business through the quality of our work — not locking you into a contract. Our maintenance plans are flexible. We schedule visits as agreed and you can adjust or pause as your needs change. We have found that clients who start a plan rarely want to stop — the results speak for themselves.
Because every stone surface is different, pricing depends on the stone type, current condition, access, square footage, and the level of restoration needed. In many cases, professional restoration is significantly less than replacement — often roughly one-third to one-half the cost of replacing the stone, depending on the project. We provide an honest written quote after the free in-home assessment so you know exactly what to expect before any work begins.

Questions About
Maintenance Plans

Scheduled professional cleaning of all stone surfaces, periodic re-sealing on a schedule appropriate for your specific stone types, minor surface polishing to address light wear before it accumulates, silicone and grout inspection in showers, and prompt attention to any chips or damage. We customize plans for each home based on what stone you have and how it's used.
Most residential plans include 1 to 2 visits per year for general care, plus additional service as needed for areas with heavy use. Showers and high-traffic floors may benefit from quarterly attention. We design the schedule together based on your priorities and how your stone is holding up.
Yes — substantially. Regular preventive care costs a small fraction of full restoration. Homeowners on maintenance plans rarely need expensive restoration work because we catch issues at the light-maintenance stage before they accumulate. The math works heavily in favor of regular preventive care.
Absolutely. Many of our clients prefer one-time service when something specific needs attention. Maintenance plans are entirely optional. We're happy to do single-visit restoration, repair, or cleaning whenever you need it without any commitment to ongoing service.
There's no contract or commitment. You can pause or cancel any time. Most homeowners stay on maintenance plans long-term because the value is obvious — but the choice is always yours.
