The Trade Was
Passed Down.
The story starts with Allen — the man who founded the Grout Pro franchise, which today has locations across the country. He was an entrepreneur many times over, but tile and stone is where his passion actually shined. He didn't work to live. He lived to work.
Allen passed the trade to Jared, who's now owned and run the Reno Grout Pro location for over 30 years. Jared has done nothing else with his career — tile, grout, and stone since he was 18. That level of detail, the kind most people overlook, is what he built his reputation on.
Jared trained Mason. Full-time in the trade since 15. Whether by choice or by chance, the name fit the calling. From tile and grout — where the family's depth runs the deepest — Mason discovered stone, and stone became the deeper passion. Hundreds of hours of study, miles of travel across the country to learn techniques, master new equipment, and pursue MBstone certification. That pursuit is still going.
Alongside Mason is Lily — a nurse serving the community three days a week, and the person who runs marketing and bookkeeping the rest of the time. She keeps the business running so Mason can focus on the craft.
Three generations. One connected trade. Passed down the same way it has to be — hand to hand, standard to standard.
